An arch you can read from across the street
Arched lettering gets harder to balance the larger it goes: the type bends along the curve of the crown, so embroidery aligned on a flat plane tilts the moment the cap is worn.

Right on the drawing, wrong on a head — it is a common way to fail. The artwork was redrawn to sit square on the curve instead: the letterspacing opens a little at a time from the centre outwards, so that crossing the curve makes it read evenly rather than unevenly.
The wash does not stop at lifting colour — it lays the cotton grain down, so the panels fold softly from the first wearing. All four colours stop at the brightness where the arch on the front reads most clearly.
